Lesson 11: human body

Head - Cabeza. - Pillar has a lovely head of hair.

Face - Cara. - My aunt has some wrinkles on her face.

Forehead - Frente. - When we frown lines form on our foreheads.

Eyebrows - cejas. - Most ladies pluck their eyebrows.

Eyelashes - Pestañas. - She fluttered her eyelashes at her husband.

Eyelids - Parpados. - We open and close our eyes with our eye lids. We blink.

Nose - Nariz. - We breathe through our noses  

Cheaks - Mofletes. - Rosa has  pink cheeks

Ears - Orejas. - We hear sounds with our ears.

Ear lobes - Lóbulos. - She wears ear-rings on her ear lobes.

Chin - Barbilla. - A man can grow hair on his chin.

Mouth - Boca. - He opened his mouth and spoke.

Jaw - Mandíbula. - We use our jaws to move our mouths..

Teeth - Dientes. - Teeth are used  to  bite and chew food.

Lips - Labios. - Women wear lipstick on their lips.

Neck - Cuello. - Our necks support our heads.

Throat - Garganta. - Food is swallowed down our throats.

Shoulders - Hombros. - Oscar shrugged his shoulders and walked away.

Arms - Brazos. - The Mother held her baby in her arms.

Hands - Manos. - Let´s shake hands and be friends.

Fingers - Dedos. - We have eight fingers and two thumbs-pulgas.

Finger-nails - Uñas. - Girls put nail varnish on their finger nails.
